Sharing an inspirational story I came across

47 year old Mohan owns a salon in Madurai for the last 20 years. He earns Rs 600 profit everyday, and he has been saving every penny for the education of his only daughter Nethra who was 13 years old. He had saved Rs 5 lakh, and wanted to use it for Nethras education so that she can achieve her dream to become an IAS officer.

When the lockdown started, and economic crisis crept in, the families in and around Madurai became helpless. It was then that Nethra asked her father to use the Rs 5 lakh fund to help the needy. They created food packets, and fed 600 families in Madurai, using their saving of Rs 5 lakh. Nethra told her father that helping these poor people is the 1st priority right now. If she has to, she will become IAS officer later.

The good deeds done by Mohan and his family spread, and PM Modi mentioned him during the last Mann Ki Baat program.

Now, the word spread so far, that the UN has appointed Nethra as “Goodwill Ambassador to the Poor” for the United Nations Association for Development And Peace (UNADAP).She will be soon given a chance to speak at the UN Civil Society Organisation conferences in New York and in Geneva.

“When you are inspired by some great purpose ,some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction ,and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world .Dormant forces , faculties and talents become alive ,and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamer yourself to be” – Patanjali

This is the easiest way out of mediocrity and into an exciting new world. Take on something much larger than yourself that positively impacts the World and you automatically become a much more powerful version of yourself.

*Martina Navratilova* was once asked – How do you maintain your Focus, Physique and sharp game even at the age of 43?

*She gave a humble reply – The ball doesn’t know how old I am.*

You need to stop yourself from stopping yourself. Every game in life is actually played on a 6 inch ground – the space between your two ears. We don’t live in bungalows, duplexes or flats. We live in our mind which is an unlimited area.

*The “Key Factor” to performing well in Life and in every arena, is the ability to control the quality and quantity of your “internal dialogue”.*

Performance is Potential minus internal interferences.

Our mind is either our greatest ally or our biggest enemy. It can bring us boundless abundance or cast us in darkest shadows. Its our choice. Choose wisely

Release the Donkey _(interesting take)_

A donkey was tied to a tree. A demon came and untied it. The donkey ran into the fields and was destroying the crop.

The farmer’s wife saw this and shot the donkey dead.

The donkey’s owner was upset so he shot the farmer’s wife.

The farmer came back to see his wife dead, he went and shot the donkey’s owner.

The wife of the owner of the donkey asked her sons to go and burn the house of the farmer.

The boys went late evening and carried out their mother’s orders happily assuming that the farmer too would have been burnt with the house. Sadly for them it wasn’t that, so the farmer came back and shot the wife & the two sons of the owner of the donkey.

Remorseful, he asked the demon why did all this have to happen?

The demon said, “I did nothing, I only released the donkey, but, all of you reacted, overacted and released the inner devil.”

The devil doesn’t do anything but wake you up by triggering the ego in you that turns into evil intent and goes harming others.

So the next time *before replying, responding, reporting, rebuking or avenging a revenge, stop and think*. Be careful. Many a times what the devil does is that it just “releases the donkey” in us.

Be aware…
